A renowned culinary historian offers a fresh perspective on our most divisive cultural issue, race, in his illuminating memoir of southern cuisine and food culture titled The Cooking Gene.

Following the book talk, free food samples will be available. The free samples are recipes inspired by Michael Twitty’s book. Samples have been prepared by Delaware Technical Community College – Stanton Culinary Arts students.
