Science Rocks!

Sounds are all around us – loud ones, soft ones, harsh ones, pleasant ones. Bring your child to the library and they’ll learn about how sounds are made and how we hear them. You and your child will play a guessing game with shakers, make the water in a bowl dance and splash, experiment with the sounds that a straw can make and listen to a squawking chicken! You’ll also test our Boomwhackers- plastic tubes tuned to specific musical notes. Science and sound go together like rock and music.
