The Blue Hen Book Award
is a children’s choice award sponsored by the Children’s Services Division of the Delaware Library Association.  Each year teens and children will have the opportunity to vote on selected books published in the last year.  The book that receives the most votes in each category will win the Blue Hen Book Award.

To Vote:

  • Read the nominated books.
  • Check off the books as you read them.
  • Choose your favorite book
  • Return the ballot to your Delaware Public Library

The Rules:

  • Each person may vote only once per category.
  • Youth aged 12 years and up may vote for the teen book.
  • The book from each catagory that receives the most votes will win the Blue Hen Book Award.
